How Display Only One Category?

I'd like to build new pages that pull content from the various plugins based on categories. Each page would show content for just a single category.

I had hoped in the Layout Editor that there would be blocks for these plugins that would allow me to specify only one particular category to display.

Am I missing something? Any ideas for a workaround?

Thanks.

You need customizations to get that done. Categories from different plguins are not related.

Let's say you have category "other" in albums and category "other" in groups.

These categories are stored in different tables and have different ids.

Script doesn't know if category is albums is the same as category in groups.

There should be either table with relations between categories or pluigins should be changed to take categories list from the same place.

Here's an example of something like what I'm wanting to do, and it's on the SE Founders community: the "Categories" tab with the pulldown sub-menu showing different categories on different pages. http://community.socialengine.com/. I also saw a ...  more

I can't post an answer here (which, BTW, I think is ridiculous). Especially since I have an answer for a workaround.
When blogs are searched for all entries in a particular category, it will create a URL that can be used as a link. Each category is assign...  more

To close the loop on this, the "feed widget" Alex Benzler mentioned is a feature of SE Cloud, not SE PHP. Figures.
