    Gaurav,

I think SE require user to register in the system to maintain the identity. I think you need to create your own plugin to have the feature of facebook connect requiring no user registration.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Kapil

As far as I know you account is created in SocialEngine when you connect with Facebook for a first time.

The same approach is used  on almost all websites.

How in this case user can make a blog post for example? Who will be mentioned as an author? How users will be able to add him to friends or send a message?

Well, I think it would be new member level which shall be assigned to facebook user just like public but more authorized. using this member type, permissions for this user can be set in every module..just a thought :)

So there must be a user in database to assign him a level! :) If I understand correctly account is created anyway. It's impossible to tie any actions with users if there is no records for him in database.

well, just imagine this user as public so there won't entry for a specific facebook user...they would be all same...I think there might be some communities who don't want user to get register but still allow them to comment for blog, topic etc..facebook u...  more
