Full Featured TinyMCE

Does anyone know how we can implement the full-features of TinyMCE? It's kind of crazy that, not only are there some basic tools missing, but that they are not consistent among the various sections of the site. For example, you can format a link in the forum, but not in a group discussion or blog? I'd love to have all TinyMCE tools for any posting function on the site to have access to the full set of tools, like this: http://www.tinymce.com/tryit/full.php

Does anyone have advice?

Thanks!

Troy

Don't forget to search here for info on TinyMCE,  I've read the how to before.

I also read about it here

You have to track down the php file that is determining the page you want to modify.  Problem is that the granularity of these files is not consistent, epecially when you get to third party plugins.

For example, you can changes messages here: application/modules/Messages/Form/Compose.php
Look for "$editorOptions" and you will see what has been specified for this.

You want to setup a development environment before you get in too deep with this.
That said, I used this to take junk out that people will never use, rather than adding stuff.

Ahhh, okay, this explains why changing in one place (the obvious tinymce file) doesn't change it everywhere. It also explains why it might cost someone $700 to make these changes. It makes no sense to me that SE PHP wouldn't create a consistent toolbar fo...  more

Looks like you are using younetco's blog plugin? Not sure offhand... let me see if I still have the installation folder for that somewhere

OK I think I found the file. Now I'm not a developer, nor do I play one on TV, so proceed with caution. Again, play with this in a development environment first.
Here's what I did to figure it out...
I downloaded the folder for the plugin (/public_html/ap...  more

You should contact some third party SE developer for that.

Oh, believe me, I've searched high and low. Nothing. I saw that one person paid $700 for the changes to be made, which is just crazy, considering it's just a matter of editing the tinymce file. I just don't want to edit it incorrectly and wondered if anyo...  more
